Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
The short version
- Your squat videos stay on your phone. We check them right on your device and never upload them.
- An account is optional. If you make one, we back up your email and squat results so you can see them on any phone.
- When you answer "Did we get this right?", we get your answer and that set's results, even if you don't have an account.
- We don't sell your information, share it for ads, or show you ads.
- You can export your results and delete your account anytime in Settings.
Who we are
LiftVerify is run by Robien Marquez and Sheena Corwin. "We" and "us" in this policy mean the two of us.
What we collect
- Account info: your email. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we also get an account ID from them, which sign-in needs. We don't get your name or photo, and Apple can hide your real email. For Apple, we also keep a sign-in token so we can disconnect LiftVerify from your Apple ID when you delete your account.
- Squat results: your squat goal, number of squats, depth, steadiness, and lean, plus the date, time, and camera used. They're saved on your phone, and backed up to your account if you have one.
- Body tracking: to measure your squats, the app finds points like your hips, knees, and ankles in your video. These points are saved on your phone and never sent to us.
- Feedback: your answer to "Did we get this right?", any reason or note you add, that set's results, and the app version. Feedback sent while signed out isn't stored with your account or email. It includes a random ID created the first time you send feedback, and to stop spam we briefly keep a scrambled copy of your network (IP) address.
- Sign-ins: the time you last signed in, and a record for each phone you're signed in on, including its network (IP) address, until you sign out, your sign-in expires, or you delete your account.
We don't collect your squat videos. They stay on your phone.
How we use it
To run your account, show your history on any phone, answer your questions, and understand and improve how accurate our squat checks are. We use your feedback to improve the app. We don't use your information for ads.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help run LiftVerify: Supabase stores accounts, backups, and feedback, and Resend sends sign-in emails. They only use your information to provide their service to us, and they're required to protect it at least as well as this policy does. If you sign in with Apple or Google, they handle that sign-in under their own privacy policies. If you email us, your message is delivered through Cloudflare and Google. Your information is stored in the United States. We don't sell your information. We may share it if the law requires us to.
On your phone
Your sets, body tracking, and videos are saved on your phone. If you use iCloud Backup, your phone's backup includes your saved results and body tracking. Videos are deleted from the app after 30 days.
How long we keep it
- Your account info and backups: until you delete your account.
- Feedback: 2 years, then it's deleted.
- Database backups: after you delete your account, copies can stay in our backups for up to 7 days.
- Server logs, which include your email and network (IP) address when you sign in: up to 7 days.
- Sign-in emails, including your address and the code, kept by our email provider: 30 days.
Your choices
- Use LiftVerify without an account.
- Export your results in Settings → Export results.
- Delete videos in Settings or from History.
- Delete saved sets in History, or all of them in Settings → Delete all analyses. When you sign out, you can also remove your sets from this phone.
- Delete your account in Settings. This deletes your account, your backup, and the feedback linked to your account. Sets saved on your phone stay until you delete them or the app. To remove LiftVerify from your Google account, go to your Google account settings.
- Email us to ask what we have about you, or to delete it. Feedback sent while signed out isn't linked to you, so we can't find it to delete it.
Keeping it safe
We use encrypted connections and trusted providers to protect your information, and each account can only see its own data. No system is perfectly secure.
Kids
LiftVerify isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has used it, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we make important changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
